EVA BC envisions a society free from gender-based violence.

Our mission is to work collaboratively to improve prevention and response systems
that support communities impacted by gender-based violence, harassment and hate.

About Us

The Ending Violence Association of British Columbia (EVA BC) works to coordinate and support the work of victim-serving and other anti-violence programs in British Columbia through the provision of issue-based consultation and analysis, resource development, training, research and education. Our work is guided by respect, collaboration, integrity and compassion.

Acknowledgement of Indigenous Territories

EVA BC respectfully acknowledges that our head office is located on unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories belonging to the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
We acknowledge and thank the Coast Salish peoples for allowing us to live, work, and play on their lands. EVA BC is committed to working in solidarity with Indigenous peoples to support the varied strategies they are using  to protect their land and their communities. Through Truth and Reconciliation, we continue to learn how to honour our responsibility as people living and working on these lands.
We recognize that the unceded land that we occupy includes not only our Vancouver-based office, but extends to the work sites occupied by our member programs throughout British Columbia. For more information about unceded Indigenous land, please visit native-land.ca.
